27th-Jul-2009 06:02 pm - I bring four new textures!
Milo
It's been a long time since I added textures. Today I bring you four new textures (: I originally planned on adding six altogether, but knowing how lazy I am, that could take a while. Follow the cut to grab the textures :p Enjoy!

I haven't posted anything here in a while, so I decided to post one of my older tutorials from my site. I have new things on their way in a few days (: For now, here's one of my older colouring tutorials. This was written in PSP 9 but should be translatable to PS and GIMP.

If you have trouble with the curves, and they go all funny then instead of clicking a point then entering the co-ordinates, just move the point around until you get the co-ordinates instead. If you can't get it exactly on the co-ordinate and it's off by a number or two, it shouldn't make too much of a difference.

Step 01. Dulplicate the layer (Layers > Dulplicate) and set it on screen. Change the opacity of the layer, as you'd like. I set my opacity on 38%. (view image).

Step 02. Create a new raster layer (Layers > New Raster Layer). Select the Flood fill tool and fill the layer in with the colour #eeda7a. Set the layer on Multiply, with the opacity on 50%.

Step 03. Create a new curves layer and use the settings below (Input, Output). (Layers > New Adjustment Layer > Curves).

RGB: 33, 79
RED: Point One: 173, 186. Point Two: 130, 157.
(To create a new point, just click anywhere then enter the input and output in the input and output fields.)
GREEN: 138, 155
BLUE: 66, 102

Step 04. Create a new Colour Balance layer (it's an adjustment layer), and use the settings below.

Midtones: 12, 8, 6
Shadows: -4, -12, -17

Step 05. Last step, is one more curve layer. Use the settings below. (Input, Output)

RGB: 64, 86
RED: 80, 94

All done (:

This tutorial was written in Paint Shop Pro 9. It should work in lower versions, Photoshop, and Gimp as well. Tutorial is written by Kim.

12th-Jun-2009 05:56 pm - Six textures!
JaredP01
I made these for my site a while ago, but I've decided to do some cleaning out of my textures page (because some of them are super fugly) and these are the only ones I think are worth keeping. So as I'm starting over, I've decided to post these all over again.

Milo
It sure has been a long time since I've posted an entry. I'm actually not too sure how often I will use this Lj, but I know one day I'll get around to using it quite often. But for now you guys can find me at my site exhibit33.org.

Heya! I've had this Lj for some time now and I've only just decided to start using it. Just a few quick things about me. My name is Kimberly. I go to an all girls high school with 2000+ girls (mmyeah, it sucks). I live in New Zealand (it's not as great as some people make it out to be). I will mainly be using this LJ for graphics and such, so I'll let you know that I have been designing for about 4 years now. I use PSP 9 and PSCS2 (:
